The router configuration is done through your browser.
In your browser (Internet Explorer) enter 192.168.1.254 into the Address bar and press Enter.

You will be prompted to enter a username and password for the router.
By default this should be "admin" for the username and "password" for the password.

You should now be in the router's setup.
Click on Quick Start.

Your settings should reflect these below.
Enter the username and password as provided on your information letter.
Depending on your account type, your username may be one of 3 different formats:
"username@alphalink.com.au", "username@residential.alphadsl.com.au", or "username@alphalink.your-dsl.net"
Then click Sumbit.

Click Save Config.

Click Sumbit to save settings and reboot.

Wait while the router reboots.

All done. Now click on Status.

You should now see an IP address number under the WAN heading.
If so, you are now online. Try browsing to a website.
