1. Check that you are running at least Mac OS X 10.2. You can check the version by clicking on the Apple menu and selecting About This Mac.
   
   
   
   
2. The CPE should be connected to the Ethernet port of your computer. Select System Preferences from the Apple menu.
   
   
   
   
3. Under the Internet & Network heading, click Network.
   
   
   
   
4. From the Location drop down menu select New Location. (In order to make any changes, you will need to click on the lock icon at the bottom of the window. You will also need to know the administrator password for the computer.
   
   
   
   
5. Next to Name your new location: enter Alphalink Wireless Broadband. Click OK
   
   
   
   
6. From the Show drop down menu select Network Port Configurations
   
   
   
   Remove the tick from next to Internal Modem. Click Apply Now.
   
   
   

7. From the Show menu, select Built-in Ethernet
   
   Click TCP/IP and from the Configure menu select Manually.
   
   Enter the following:
   
   IP address: the address you were assigned when you joined, which will be in the form of 10.0.X.X
   Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
   Router: the Gateway address for your node, which will be in the form of 10.0.X.1
   DNS Servers: enter 10.0.1.2 on the first line and 10.0.1.3 on the second line
   Click Apply Now
