Upgrading the Firmware on the Linksys WRT54G

Please note that the Alphalink firmware is only compatible with WRT54G hardware versions 4 or earlier. The firmware will not function on WRT54G hardware versions 5 or later due to hardware changes in these versions.

1. Download the latest firmware: alphalink_linksys_wrt54g_current_release.bin
2. The firmware upgrade utility is located under the Administration tab. Click on the Firmware Upgrade tab.
   

   
   
   Note: On some older versions of the Alphalink firmware, the upgrade utility is only available in Advanced Mode. To continue with the process, you will need to enable Advanced mode.
   
   

3. Click Browse and locate the firmware (.bin) file you downloaded from our site.
   

   
   
   

4. Click Upgrade. While the firmware is being upgraded, you can see the progress on the meter.

   
   
   

5. When the upgrade process has finished, you will see the following:
   

   
   
   

6. Click Continue and the unit will reboot.
   Once the unit has rebooted, the firmware will be updated.
