The Alphalink Business Account is designed specifically for Business
Use on the internet and supports all e-commerce requirements.
If you wish to be able to handle secured online payments, database
access or active server pages through your website on Alphalink,
you will only be able to do so through a Business or Domain Hosting Only Account.
The Business Account is taken out, primarily, in the name of
your business. As such, it may be accessed, and managed, by anyone
at your business to whom you give authority. A "keyword",
specific to your account, ensures its protection and security.
Note: If you need more than one person to be using your dialup
account at the same time, you will require additional dialup access.
This may be purchased, as may additional web/email space or additional
weekly data transfer, by calling: 1300 137 425.
If you wish to include secure payment facilities through your
website under your own Domain, you will also need to arrange,
and pay for, an appropriate security certificate to allow SSL
encryption from your site. The HavEcomm
secured online payment facility offers SSL encryption for those
not wishing to obtain their own certificate. Otherwise, security
certificates are available through Thawte.com.
A Small Business MAY use an Alphalink Personal Account instead
of the Alphalink Business Account, where desired, for the purposes
of advertising and email, however, we DO NOT permit any
online payments through a Personal Account website, unless that
website is supported by a secured payment facility, such as HavEcomm.
It is also NOT possible to put an Alphalink Personal Account
in the name of a business. All Personal Accounts MUST be in an
individual's name and abide by the limitations of the Terms
and Conditions of use.
