Dann's Cursors and Icons

The following sets of cursors and icons for Windows can be downloaded for free. Each group of cursors or icons is contained within a ZIP file, which can be saved to your hard drive by either clicking one of the images or by selecting one of the underlined text links. ZIP files can be uncompressed using PKUNZIP, WINZIP, or an equivalent program.

Animated cursors and 256-colour cursors/icons are not supported by earlier versions of Windows. You will need at least Windows 95 or greater for these. However there are also many 16-colour icons and static cursors here that are compatible with any version of Windows.

(Instructions are for Windows 95 only. Windows 98 or NT should be similar. If anyone knows how to install cursors or icons on the Windows 3.x platforms then please Email me with the instructions and I'll add them here)

The fun part is finding uses for the icons. For instance, you could use Starvin'
Marvin for the empty recycle bin, and Cartman for the full recycle bin.

Animated Cursors (and Mr Hankey)

The animated cursors include Mr Garrison talking to Mr Hat ("working in background"), Kenny being electrocuted ("wait"), Kenny being eaten by a rat (another "wait"), Stan throwing up ("help"), Terance and Philip, nurse Golum, and Timmy. This file also contains a non-animated Mr Hankey cursor.

Others

The Bloody series contains various blood-covered cursors, including a large bloody spear-head, a smaller bloody pointer, a bloody cross arrow (for moving objects), an animated "Bloody What" cursor that drips blood, and an animated "Bloody Wait". What are they like? Bloody good!

Miscellaneous animated cursors include a butterfly adapted from a Dangerous Creatures icon, a revolving earth, a spinning pentagram, a skull with flashing eyes, an "Ouroboros" snake, an animated skull pointing its hand, and a humming bird.
