Raymarine's Rotavecta transducer is accurate, durable and corrosion resistant. It has a single moving part, optical sensing and is loop powered, features which enhance reliability and reduce cost and power consumption. It is well suited to many applications unrelated to its marine heritage, except the signal from it is in nonstandard format. |

Realtime Control's RV229 Anemometer Adapter decodes the signal from a Raymarine Rotavecta transducer, and either outputs speed and direction in analog, pulse or serial form, or logs speed and direction distributions for later downloading to a PC. The RV229 is housed in a standard DE9 (a.k.a. DB9) connector backshell. It can be serial port powered or externally powered. Transducer loop current is supplied by the RV229. |
